Silver Chain Jewelry – Viking Knit, Open Maille, & Persian Chains
Sat-Sun, Sept. 18-19, 2010; 10am - 4:30pm
$140 + $75 materials fee

Learn to make the stylish lattice of the Open Maille chain and the delicate interwoven globes of the Persian chain, both in sterling silver rings. The Viking Knit technique uses fine silver wire, a wooden dowel, and a darning needle. This technique lends itself to large diameter work with a lacy look. You will make your own simple fastening mechanisms to finish two bracelets and one pair of earrings. It is not necessary to have taken any other chain making class.

Silver Chain Jewelry – Crochet Knit, Helm, and Turkish Maille Chains
2-day class on 2 consecutive Saturdays, Nov. 13 & Nov. 20, 2010; 10am - 5:30pm
$140 + $75 materials fee

Learn to make the delightfully lacy and feminine Helm chain and the richly textured Turkish Round Maille chain, both in sterling silver rings. You will also use a crochet hook to Crochet Knit very fine silver wire into a remarkably flexible and delicate tube. You will make your own simple fastening mechanisms to finish two bracelets and one pair of earrings. It is not necessary to have taken any other chain making class.
